Huhana joined Stevens Orchard in April 2026 as part of our Family Law Team. Huhana brings significant experience in courtroom litigation and advice work.
Huhana first commenced practice in Wellington New Zealand. In 2022, Huhana started her career working for the Public Defence Service specialising in criminal defence litigation, duty lawyer, parole board hearings and appeals. In 2024, Huhana moved to Paterson Anderson Lawyers where she continued to work in criminal defence litigation but started specialising in family law. Huhana has acted as an employment advocate and appeared in employment investigations and mediation. Huhana has also assisted in civil cases such as judicial review. Huhana moved to Nelson in 2025 with her family.
Huhana is fluent in Te Reo Māori. Huhana is of Ngā Puhi and Ngāti Kahu descent which is in the Far North of New Zealand. Huhana and her whānau speak English and Te Reo Māori at home with her small children. Huhana and her whānau enjoy watching kapahaka, having a kai together and swimming in sunny Nelson.
